The conference will focus on teaching healthcare professionals how to implement and manage ketogenic diet therapies. Research has shown that for a number of people with epilepsy, the ketogenic diet can vastly improve their treatment of the disease and in many cases, help reduce the amount of seizures they have. The Summit is designed to cover the vast spectrum of the epilepsies and doctors, medical professionals and families can choose the forums that will provide the best information for their particular needs. The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is encouraging all people with epilepsy and those who love and care for them to attend the final day of the Summit to help get the most upto-date information about the disease and diagnosis. Along with the medical portion of the day there will also be the opportunity for families to meet and find support from the community that has all joined in the Fight to End Epilepsy.
