Epilepsy Family Weekend Camp is organized by The Painted Turtle in cooperation with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. Together we strive to provide children with epilepsy and their immediate family members the opportunity to have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Activities will include arts & crafts, woodshop, fishing, archery, boating, swimming, ropes courses, horses, indoor/outdoor games, and much more! The Monthly Open Discussion / Therapy Group is comprised of individuals with epilepsy, spouses, parents, family members, partners and friends of adults with epilepsy. Group participants meet to gain support and share information in an understanding setting. The Walk to End Epilepsy is a grassroots community and fundraising event that provides people the opportunity to speak up about epilepsy, to learn more and connect with others affected by epilepsy at a fun-filled event. There is a non-competitive 5K Run/Walk, 1-Mile Stroll and ‘pop-up village’ complete with games, music, entertainment, food trucks, activity booths, community resources, and an awards ceremony.
