WALK TO END EPILEPSY
The Walk to End Epilepsy is a grassroots community and fundraising event that provides people the opportunity to speak up about epilepsy, to learn more and connect with others affected by epilepsy at a fun-filled event. There is a non-competitive 5K Run/Walk, 1-Mile Stroll and ‘pop-up village’ complete with games, music, entertainment, food trucks, activity booths, community resources, and an awards ceremony. We anticipate as many as 6,000 participants at the 2019 event (attendance in 2017 was nearly 5,000!). Participants include individuals with epilepsy and those close to them — friends, family, caregivers, classmates, employers and medical professionals from local epilepsy centers and neurology departments.
PLEASE NOTE: THE 2019 WALK TO END EPILEPSY – LA IN-PERSON EVENT ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR 02.02.19 AT THE ROSE BOWL STADIUM HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND CHANGED TO A VIRTUAL WALK! REGISTER & DONATE UNTIL 03.03.19 HERE.
Unfortunately, this year we had to cancel the Walk at the Rose Bowl due to safety concerns with the weather! But you can still Walk. We are moving this year’s Walk to a Virtual Walk. You can still sign up and Walk, Run or Donate in your neighborhood, living room, the mall or even the gym. Let’s get creative!
